Nowadays, our modernization heavily relies on fossil fuels. In the future, the biggest challenge facing humanity is to gradually shift energy supply from fossil fuels to renewable energy. Solar energy is the most important clean and renewable energy source, but its low energy density, large seasonal variations between day and night, and difficulty in preservation severely limit its large-scale application.

Due to the endless achievements in the field of solar fuel research and the increasing number of researchers, we will hold the 2nd International Workshop on Solar Fuel (IWSF2) at the Qingchuan Holiday Hotel in Wuhan, China from April 12-15, 2024. The purpose of this seminar is to provide a high-level platform for academic exchange in the field of solar fuels, explore scientific issues in this rapidly developing field, and provide a face-to-face communication opportunity for researchers from different countries and regions.
